About Human Resources Manager

Open Dealer Exchange, LLC is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support its workforce in Farmington Hills, MI. This person will be a key member of the leadership team and have a seat at the table for organizational leadership decisions. They will help oversee all aspects of Human Resources including employee engagement, compliance, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, and more. The HR Manager will help to build, improve, and maintain scalable processes, and can quickly pivot from strategy to execution across all human resources areas. The ideal candidate will be highly self-driven, organized and a proactive HR professional with a strong track record in partnering and providing guidance for business teams. They will love solving problems and serving as a guide to employees and leaders. They are not above rolling up their sleeves to be hands-on and can also step back to add a high level, balanced perspective. Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, documentation, and improvement of processes, procedures, and policies; evaluate and recommend updates and improvements based on best practices and current regulations
• Drive philosophy and process around employee recognition, engagement, and feedback. Be a culture champion and lead efforts for employee engagement events
• Collaborate on and manage companywide HR projects and initiatives; Continuously drive improvement, scalability and innovation for all HR programs
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
• Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
• Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
• Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
• Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
• Provide support and guidance when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise
• Be subject matter expert in HRIS and payroll, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• Manage third-party relationships including, third-party recruiters, benefits broker, 401K administrator, etc.
• Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
• Manage and assist HR team with day-to-day tasks involving employee onboarding and exits, benefits administration, recruiting, training, and special projects/initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• Thorough knowledge of HR procedures, policy and Federal, State, and Local laws
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving aptitude
• Strong project management and process-orientation as well as a high tolerance for ambiguity amidst change
• Experience with robust HRIS, like Paylocity, or similar HRIS
• Demonstrates a spirit of customer service to support a positive and engaging employee experience
• Reliable self-starter with a proactive and collaborative team-focus
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to navigate the Microsoft Suite of products, HRIS systems, an
• 2+ years of Human Resources management experience working with professional level talent
• In depth knowledge of Human Resources practices and demonstrated success in providing solutions to leadership
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously and working in an environment which requires flexibility

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; accredited HR certification a plus (SPHR, SHRM-SCP)
